Royal Sovereign’s Heavy Duty shredder series provides Auto-Feeding of up to 100 sheets with Quiet Operation. The patented Auto-Feed technology allows users to shred large stacks of paper at a time without having to constantly feed the papers into the machine saving time for more important tasks. The noise level of the AFS-800BK and AFS-850S when in use is close to 60dB, which is comparable to the noise level of normal conversations. Rockleigh, NJ (PRWEB) August 8, 2008 — Royal Sovereign introduces their first series of Patented Auto-Feeding Shredders designed for heavy duty office use. The Auto-Feed shredders have 3 different convenient feeding entries. The Auto-Feed Entry allows users to shred large stacks of paper at a time (100 sheets AFS-850S, 80 sheets AFS-800BK,) without having to constantly feed the papers in the machine. The Manual Feed Entry allows users to quickly shred up to 7 sheets at a time. The CD Entry allows users to shred CDs, DVDs and credit cards.

“No longer do you have to stand next to your shredder and continuously feed paper into it. With the Auto-Feed function you can lay down up to 100 sheets and the AFS-850S will automatically shred them all, saving you time to work on more important things,” said Wayne Borg director of marketing for office products at Royal Sovereign.

The Heavy Duty shredders run at a speed of 8.5ft per minute with continuous duty rating allowing for a daily capacity of up to 4,000 sheets. The shredders use cross cut shredding to cut paper into small 1/8″ x 1″ pieces. This allows for level 3 security protection which is secure enough for your confidential documents. The powerful motor will also accept staples, paper clips, credit cards, and CD/DVDs.

“Not only is the motor strong, but it is amazingly quiet for a heavy duty shredder”, said Borg. The noise level of the AFS-800BK and AFS-850S when in use is close to 60dB, which is comparable to the noise level of a normal conversation.

The Auto Feeding series also provides overheating protection to ensure that the shredder does not overheat. It will automatically shut itself off if there is a jam that causes the motor to heat up or if it has been running continuously for more than 25 minutes.

The shredders have a 10.6 gallon pull out basket that allows easy removal of paper shreddings as well as a smaller CD box to hold shredded CDs and credit cards. The basket full indicator will turn on when the basket is full to let you know it is time to empty the basket. The shredder is equipped with caster wheels allowing for easy movement. The wheels are also lockable to ensure that the shredder will stay in place.

Additional features include Auto Reverse, so if a jam occurs, the machine automatically reverses to undo the jam and then automatically runs forward. Auto Start/Stop Controls allow the shredders to automatically start shredding when paper is inserted and will automatically stop when finished. The shredders also have safety features which include the cutters automatically stopping and the Check Door/Safety Cover Indicator light turning on if the door is opened or the safety cover is open.
