LectureShare is proud to announce several major updates to it’s course management system which will make it even easier to use. We have made viewing documents easier by partnering with Scribd, a service which allows students to view posted course documents directly on LectureShare. In addition, we are glad to introduce a comment system on LectureShare that enables students to post comments to their teachers or fellow students. And finally, a new gradebook system is being launched August 25th which will allow instructors to easily manage and send students’ grades online.
Lawrence, NY (PRWEB) August 18, 2008 — LectureShare is proud to announce several major updates to it’s course management system which will make it even easier to use. We have made viewing documents easier by partnering with Scribd, a service which allows students to view posted course documents directly on LectureShare. This means that users can easily view documents without downloading files and struggling to run new file formats such as .docx, .pptx and .xlsx.
In addition, we are glad to introduce a comment system on LectureShare that enables students to post comments to their teachers or fellow students about thought provoking passages or questions about difficult assignments. It is our hope that the comment system will allow for a greater degree of communication between students and teachers.
Finally, a new gradebook system is being launched August 25th which will allow instructors to easily manage and send students’ grades online. This basic feature will make LectureShare’s course management system more complete by allowing teachers to manage course content and grades within the same site. It also offers students an easy and convenient way of viewing their class grades and tracking their progress.
During the past 10 months LectureShare has been fortunate to grow at a steady pace. There are currently over 125 lectures on LectureShare with topics ranging from statistics, to marketing, to MatLab programming. LectureShare has also seen a diverse group of universities and colleges join, ranging from Los Angeles Valley College to Universidad Autónoma de Chile - Talca.
