rackAID in conjunction with ControlScan has introduced two new PCI security services to enable small businesses to gain PCI compliance. rackAID’s Managed PCI and Scan & Fix services provide proactive and on-demand PCI compliance assistance for online merchants. These new services will provide cost-effective and easy to use PCI compliance options.

As a subscriber to the Managed PCI program, rackAID clients simply have to secure their web applications and complete the self-assessment questionnaire. Managed PCI is available as an add-on solution to rackAID’s popular server management services.

rackAID’s Scan & Fix service is targeted to merchants who just require one-time or periodic assistance with their audits. After signing up with ControlScan, clients can request rackAID’s assistance only when needed. rackAID will then fix the security issues as a case-based support service.

With these new services, rackAID clients can produce PCI compliance reports and obtain certification seals through the ControlScan security portal. Research shows that web sites displaying certification seals typically see a significant increase in online sales and a decrease in shopping cart abandonment.

These new services further add to rackAID’s portfolio of on-demand IT services. Earlier this year, they announced a managed server backup service.
