Contract Verses Pay As You Go Mobile Phones In The Uk
When you are looking at getting a new mobile phone you have two main options, you can either opt for a pay as you go phone, or you might want to choose one of the many contract mobile phones out there. The main reason people choose contract phones is because you normally get a free phone, some of which are not even available on pay as you go. But does this really justify locking yourself into a contract?
A contract is not necessarily a bad thing, as long as you spend time choosing the right contract for you. However some people would be much better suited using a pay as you go phone.

This system is very useful if you want to keep your phone number for a long time, as it is easily and quickly transferred to a new handset.
If you like being able to change your phone number easily then you should not choose a contract phone, as you would have to wait until the contract is over to change your number. It is important to note that you are bound by the terms of the contract, unless the contract states that you are allowed to terminate the contract should you not be satisfied then you will have to stick with them no matter what happens.
