Fragmented files are one of the top reasons for the slow down of your PC because the PC takes a long time to find the files that are in different locations than files that share the same location. Fragmented files take longer time to load.
From the Start button, find Programs then Accessories. From the Accessories, find System tools. You’ll see Disk Defragment here. It will take a while to finish the running of this program but it’s worth it.
4. De-clutter your Hard Disk. The last PC slow fast fix that you can do today is to clean up your disk. When you access the internet, your PC sweeps up tons of temporary internet files that remains in your PC for a faster upload of web pages. You don’t need most of them because there are web pages that you visit only once and you don’t want to visit again. Removing them will also free up space in your PC and will improve its speed.
Fro the Start Button, open My Computer window. Right-click Drive C. Click Properties. Then click Disk Clean up in the drop down menu.
